Make-Ahead, Storing and Reheating

“Refreshment in every sip.”

If you want to enjoy your morning cup of iced coffee without the hassle of preparing it every day, you can easily make this recipe ahead of time and store it in the fridge for up to 3 days.

To make the perfect iced coffee ahead of time, simply brew a big batch using 4 cups of freshly ground coffee and 8 cups of cold water. Then, let the coffee cool to room temperature before refrigerating it.

When you’re ready to serve, fill a glass with ice and pour the chilled coffee over it. Add your desired amount of milk and sugar or sweetener, and give it a good stir before sipping. You can also add a sprinkle of cinnamon or cocoa powder on top for an extra burst of flavor.

If you have leftover iced coffee, you can store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat cold coffee, simply pour it into a microwave-safe container and heat for about 30 seconds at a time until warm.

Remember that this recipe includes sweetened condensed milk, which may make the stored coffee become more solid due to its high sugar content. Don’t worry if this happens – just give it a good stir before serving.

Making your own iced coffee at home has never been easier with this recipe. Enjoy your perfect cup every morning without leaving your home!

Tips for Perfect Results

“Brewed with love and ice.”

As a barista, I know that the perfect cup of iced coffee can make anyone’s day. There are some tips you can follow at home that will help improve your morning drink. Whether you’re a coffee aficionado or just starting to explore the world of coffee recipes, these tips will help ensure that your iced coffee is delicious and refreshing every time.

1. Start with fresh and high-quality coffee:

Choose freshly roasted beans, which have more flavor and aroma than pre-ground coffee. Use good quality beans to get an intense and rich flavor in your iced coffee recipe. And always grind your coffee before brewing for optimal freshness.

2. Make sure the water is cold:

Cold water is essential when making iced coffee at home. Using hot water can result in a bitter iced coffee that nobody wants to drink. Coldwater also helps preserve the oils in the coffee beans, resulting in better flavor extraction.

3. Be mindful of your ice:

Using regular ice cubes will result in a watery cup of iced coffee because as they melt, they dilute the flavor. Instead, use coffee ice cubes for an extra boost of flavor or freeze condensed milk and add it to your drink for sweetness (which makes killer cubed too!). Also, be sure to use enough ice to keep your drink properly chilled!

4. Experiment with different types of creamer:

Try using non-dairy creamers like almond milk or half & half instead of regular milk or heavy cream to achieve varying degrees of richness and flavors. You can also get creative with flavored syrups like vanilla, caramel or Irish cream.

5. Add flavors:

A sprinkle of cinnamon or cocoa powder, or even coconut extract can really enhance the flavors of your iced coffee; however use sweeteners cautiously– preferably sweetened condensed milk (as it reacts well with cold drinks and won’t compromise their texture).

6. Brew double strength:

You want to start with a strong coffee since you will later add ice which melts and dilutes the strength. Doubling your normal amount of coffee grounds is recommended or for best results – use instant coffee instead, as it’s already in concentrated form to begin with.

By following these tips and experimenting with flavorings, creamers, and brewing techniques, you’ll be able to make iced coffee that rivals the ones made by professional baristas. So why not try making some fun iced coffee recipes at home today?

Morning Iced Coffee

Morning Iced Coffee Recipe

I love iced coffee in hot weather. But I do NOT care for sweet things in the morning so the vanilla-infused version that is my favorite doesn't suit that time of day. It took some experimentation, but I've come up with a tasty version of iced coffee that works properly as a morning, wake-me-up drink. The minimal amount of Splenda mellows the flavor without making the drink taste sweet. Prep time does not include brewing the coffee. Best to do that the night before.
